Sometimes, the best social media presence a brand can have is none at all. Lush Cosmetics has ceased using social media in the way virtually every other cosmetic brand does. Instead, the brand shut down their Instagram and Facebook pages in November 2021 after determining it wasnโt the best place for its customers, to be. Now, these accounts simply ask their audience to 'be somewhere else'. The posts sharing the CTA are captioned: 'Whether thatโs in a bath with a good book; taking some me-time with a facemask and a cuppa; or simply getting outside for some fresh air, weโre encouraging our customers to stop scrolling and be somewhere else instead.' ๐
